According to John, this second beast forces the
land and its inhabitants to worship the first beast, whose death-stroke had
been healed. Think for a moment; aren't you yourself being forced to bow to the
will of the majority? Aren't the modern scientific and technological achievements
promoting the worship of man's mind? Isn't technocracy making even the land
itself submit to the will of the people? And yet, technocracy has not yet
reached its full power! What will life be like when it does? The Bible tells.
