Realization of Prophetic Visions
By Philip Mark Ames
Golden Cup
And what is the golden cup
in her hand? It is the means by which she puts people into a drunken stupor.
The intoxicating abominations and filth which she makes them drink are served
in a golden cup. The cup looks pretty, so they drink its contents; they lose
self control, and she takes their money.
The golden cup is the
appealing way in which she advertises her wares; the wine is the advertisement
itself. How many people would use tobacco if they had never seen it advertised?
How much money would they have spent on deodorants, cosmetics, cars, etc., if
the commercials did not look and sound so appealing?
How much of your hard-earned
money have you foolishly paid to the super-rich for things you didn't need or
even want? Were you seduced by the great harlot's wine, taken into her parlor,
and robbed by her agents? What satisfaction has she ever given you? But, all
that is not the limit of her evil.
